The Bear – A Story from the World of Gra is a beautiful interactive bedtime story that’s made for all ages. It feels like an interactive book, with the artwork very much matching that vibe as well. Your play as a young character who has found a bear, deep in the tunnels you were exploring. This bear hasn’t been out in a long time and doesn’t seem to want to get out at first, but through some convincing, you can get the bear out.
The Bear – A Story from the World of Gra isn’t about selecting the right words to say, but instead about solving little interactive tapping puzzles – knowing when to pull the bear along the path or when to tap a specific part of the screen so that the next chapter can come. You and the bear become friends, through telling the bear about your own story and through exploring the land together.
The first chapter in this game is free and sets up the story, where as the next four chapters, tell of more tales that you and the bear go on. The bear very clearly (to me, anyway) is depressed. Something happened and the bear needs to move on and let go in order to continue moving forward through this strange world. You will be convincing the bear to go on these adventures in this land, you can end up traveling in space, finding fish to interact with, and exploring captivating locations.
There are other creatures that need a little bit of help, and you can help them, as long as you have your bear friend by your side. It almost feels like you were looking for a friend and found one. The Bear – A Story from the World of Gra is a very captivating and heartwarming story, that kept me wanting to read more. It feels emotional as you grow with your bear friend, helping them with their fears and compromising with them so that you can travel more. It’s a touching adventure, well worth the read.
