Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios has confirmed it’s suffered a “serious” cyberattack, saying it is currently working to determine the “full extent” of its impact.

“To our players and friends,” a statement by the studio read. “We’re sorry to share that Warhorse Studios has been hit by a cyberattack. We’re working with cybersecurity specialists to secure our systems and understand the full extent of what happened. Thank you for standing with us.” The message was released at 11am GMT and there hasn’t been an update from the studio since. We’ve separately asked the studio if there have been any developments.

Warhorse CEO Martin Frývaldský discussed the incident in a Czech report (translated by DeepL), saying, “This is a serious incident for Warhorse Studios and for everyone affected. Our immediate priority is to secure our systems, determine the full extent of the breach, and take all necessary steps to protect our employees, partners, and our community. We are devoting all necessary resources and capabilities to resolving this situation.”

Warhorse is currently working on two games, including a prestigious open-world Middle-earth role-playing game, based on Tolkien’s legendary The Lord of the Rings fiction. It’s also developing “a new Kingdom Come adventure”, which we assume to be Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. In addition, it’s collaborating on a Kingdom Come: Deliverance film.
