Minecraft may be headed to the Switch 2, as an ESRB rating has suddenly appeared ahead of Summer Game Fest

An ESRB rating for Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch 2 has appeared just a few days ahead of Summer Game Fest.

This rating, which you can find on the official ESRB (entertainment software ratings board) website, shows the latest Nintendo console present, clear as day.

This rating, coming out of nowhere, just so happened to pop up in the days leading up to Summer Game Fest where a host of new game announcements are expected to occur. This certainly could just be a coincidence, but the timing may indicate one of the big reveals of the night.

It is so popular in fact, that a film adaption of the video game surpassed $1bn in box office revenue, and a Minecraft theme park is set to open in the UK next year.

As of writing, it’s unclear when Minecraft’s Switch 2 version will release, but more information is sure to be announced in the near future, so keep an eye out.
