Nintendo has announced a Direct dedicated to its upcoming film sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
This Direct will be held in just two days time, on Sunday, 25th January. Things will kick off at 2pm UK time.
The news was shared on the Nintendo Today app, along with an image of the film’s Mario and Luigi holding fire in the palms of their hands. Shortly after, an official post from Nintendo’s various social media accounts added more info.
“Join us on Sunday, January 25th at 14:00 (UK) for a #NintendoDirect featuring an exclusive look at The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” reads a statement from the publisher. If you’re hoping there will be some sort of game announcement tied to this, sorry to disappoint you. The tweet continues: “No game information will be included in this presentation.”

Along with Mario and Luigi, the upcoming animated sequel will also see Bowser Junior and Rosalina joining the chaos. Rosalina is being voiced by long-time Nintendo fan, Brie Larson.
