Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its 19th November release.

The trailer showcases the thrills set to come to the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S next month, with the footage itself apparently captured on the PlayStation 5. It features a selection of tidbits Grand Theft Auto fans may be interested in, including clips of heists in-action, one of which appearing to include a helicopter getaway gone awry.

There’s also an intimate shower scene between the game’s two protagonists, seemingly confirming the rumoured sex scenes and likely full nudity. There’s a quick cut between a collection of other characters we’ll run into, and various setpieces. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot some interesting details, including what appears to be an ankle tag on Lucia’s leg, hinting she perhaps is out on parole. Jason also seems to get a reverse-charged phone call early on in the trailer, suggesting perhaps Lucia calling from jail.

The trailer opens with a shot of The Keys, a much-discussed portion of the GTA 6 that has been largely unexplored in prior trailers and gameplay footage. Also, the song playing in the background is a new standalone single from Justice called “Flower in a Hurricane”, featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and the fantastic King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

The timing of the trailer is questionable, with Rockstar’s employment tribunal ongoing in Glasgow, Scotland this week, and after a week of new leaked gameplay videos from the hacker Cyberleek.

As what is likely the final trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 before it releases, it’s certainly a good tone setter for those eager to hop in.
