Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have released an expansion pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, introducing a string of DLC additions to the tactical RPG starting today, and through into 2027.

The expansion pass, which can be bought on the Nintendo eShop for $34.99 / £29.99, comes in three parts. For those who buy it now, a selection of weapons are made available to use within the game. The second part of the expansion pass arrives this holiday season, and the final part arrives in 2027.

We already know a bit about what’s coming in these latter DLC releases. The second portion features additional outfits for the game’s cast, alongside three new allies: Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah.

The final segment of the pass looks to be the most substantial; introducing new stories to play, new allies, classes, and additional goodies. Those new stories make an already chunky game even larger, something that should give people a reason to go back to the RPG next year, and those yet to pick up the game, a convenient jumping-on point.

Fortune’s Weave has been met with critical acclaim and sizable early sales figures. In Eurogamer’s review, the game is described as “a synergy of everything that has made the series great for generations”, and “a sumptuous feast of a game”.
