Ubisoft has delayed the Rayman Legends remake – Rayman Legends Re told – in order to “make sure every detail gets the care it deserves”. The game’s release date has moved two months from 1st October to 3rd December.

The delay was shared on Rayman social accounts. “While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves,” a statement read.

The post then signalled the arrival of a new “game overview” trailer on 22nd September, and thanked the audience for its patience – assuming the members of that audience are actually patient and not running around screaming.

Rayman Legends Retold was announced in June and, as mentioned, it’s a remake of 2015’s Rayman Legends – the superb 2D platformer we awarded 10/10 to in our review, back when we used a 10-point scale. The remake features improved visuals, 4K60 graphics, new collectibles and rewards, and – impressively – a free bundled version of Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition.

Legends Retold is coming to PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series S/X, and we’ll have more to tell you about it very soon indeed, wink wink, nudge nudge.
