Elden Ring was first released back in 2022, and quickly became a huge success for developer FromSoftware. Its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC followed, as did multiplayer spin-off Nightreign. Elden Ring was meant to make its Switch 2 debut last year, however its release was delayed to “allow time for performance adjustments”

Elsewhere in news from the Lands Between, the Elden Ring movie adaptation is underway and set to arrive in theatres on 3rd March, 2028. Earlier this year, the cast for the Elden Ring film was announced, with Alien: Romulus and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery actress Cailee Spaeny in a lead role. Other confirmed cast members include Ben Whishaw, Kit Connor, Peter Serafinowicz and Nick Offerman, to name a few. Allegedly, the upcoming film from Alex Garland and production company A24 has a budget “well over” $100m.
