Nintendo Switch Online adds four more classic games, along with a new boot up Easter egg

Nintendo Switch Online members can now get their hands on four more games.

On the NES app, users will be able to access Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos and Battletoads.

Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters and Bionic Commando, meanwhile, have been added to the GameBoy app.

You can check out a trailer for the four newest Nintendo Switch Online games below. To play any of the above games, you’ll need to have an active base-tier Switch Online subscription.

In addition to these titles, there is also a new update for the Game Boy app on the Switch and Switch 2. This update – known as Version 3.0.0 – has added a boot up Easter egg, featuring the Nintendo logo (or Game Boy one) and the iconic sound.

This is a similar Easter egg added to the Game Boy Advance app back in September, and the iconic GameCube startup screen from June. It can be found in the same way, which is to say, twiddle the analogue stick when you boot up the app.
