Hackers claim to have breached internal Nintendo data

Hackers claim to have “breached” Nintendo and stolen internal data from the Japanese megacorp.

While the claim has yet to be unsubstantiated, a screenshot posted by the group shows a depository of folders that include Nintendo manuals, admin, dev assets, and more. It follows a similarly high profile hack last month when the same hackers breached Red Hat’s GitHub repositories

X account Hackmanac, which tracks “verified, real-world cyber attacks”, shared a screenshot reportedly posted by the hacking group which said: “Who said we did not have Nintendo topic files?”

Nintendo has yet to comment publicly on the allegation and it’s currently unknown if customer data has been compromised.

Last week, Discord wrote to users to advise them that a third-party customer service system used by Discord’s support teams had been hacked, compromising some user personal data, including government IDs.
